Happy Birthday Mom and Grandma and Great Grandma

My Mom celebrated her 90th birthday on June 24th. I wasn't able to go to celebrate, because she isn't doing well right now. She wants me to wait and come in August. Hopefully we will be able to celebrate then. Here is a tribute to my Mother.

Michael's Birthday

Yes, I am late again. It isn't because I didn't have the time, I simply forgot to post a tribute to little Michael. He is such a sweet boy and I would never forget him in real life, but it is easy to forget my blog, because I don't use it every day. So, poor Michael, I am so sorry. Please forgive your Grandmother for not getting this posted. Here is your tribute.

Dance Recital

We went to Julia and Sydney's dance recital. It was terrific. The teacher was trained in Seattle at Cornish School and then the U of W. Then she went and trained with the Russian Ballet, and came and taught at BYU for 25 years. She has 4 different Studios. Julia is in with girls that are a lot older than she is. It is a pre toe class and she has just finished 4th grade and will not be 10 until Dec. WOW, She is wonderful. Little Sydney is so cute too. She loves it like Julia. We had a great time.

Temple Square

When we got back from Lagoon, we went to Crystal Inn in Salt Lake City. The girls had a great time staying together and swimming. Then after a hot breakfast we went to Temple Square. The girls loved it and we met many lady missionaries. I alway have fun telling them my conversion story at Temple Square. Then they put in a new exhibit like the little boy in the tree house that my children all loved. We also went and saw the Christus. We even met the Temple Square mission president and his wife. We had a lovely Sunday.

Katelyn turns 13

Here we are all ready to go to her Birthday celebration at Lagoon! She invited her 3 really good friends, Brooke, Megan, Jaiden and Jaiden's grandma and Mom Julie came. Of course her family came too.

No trip to Lagoon would be complete without the skyride. This is the ride that she had always wanted to go on at Disneyland.

Jet Star was a favorite with Katelyn too, just like her Aunts and Uncle. It was a fun time.

The Samuri is the scariest ride I have ever seen, but old Katelyn loved it. Here is a movie too for your enjoyment.

The log ride was a big favorite, but it was very cold that afternoon, so only Ken decided to go get wet. What a man, of course the girls would end up being soaked and not care.

It was Katelyn's big birthday this year. SHE TURNED INTO A TEENAGER. It is hard for me to believe that Katelyn is now 13. It seems like yesterday that Katie was born. We were all excited to have a new grandbaby. Angie didn't want to know what she was before she was born, so we all anticipated the big day. Katelyn has been a joy and a blessing to have in our family. Here is her birthday tribute:
1. Katelyn is a good big sister- even though Michael might think differently, she loves to mother him.
2. Katelyn has a great personality- she is such a funny little girl
3. Katelyn is truly Amelia Bedilia.- She truly takes things litterally - remember the "bear" spots. haha.
4. Katelyn is a girlie girl- she loves primping, jewelry, and having her hair just so
5. Katelyn loves clothes- favorite stores- Aeropostle, Holister, and Downy East
6. Katelyn loves Lady- her dog is her best friend, and she is her bedroom partner
7. Katelyn loves Cheerleading- she has been a cheerleader for her 7th grade middle school, and now for 8th grade. She loves it very much
8. Katelyn loves gymnastics. She goes to her teacher with a smilie on her face, and is trying to learn her back tuck
9. Katelyn loves getting up early in the morning. Isn't that a funny thing to say about a teenager. She really doesn't like to sleep much over 7:30 even on the weekends
10. Katelyn loves to go to Johnny Carinos and eat Bow Tie pasta. That is her favorite food
11. Katelyn loves all her neices and nephews. All her aunts want her to come and help them with their kids.
12. Katelyn loves babies. Find her at any party, and she will be tucked away somewhere with a baby in her arms. She will tend them all day long.
13. Katelyn loves her Heavenly Father and the church. She shares her testimony now in front of the ward, and it is so sweet and sincere.
I know Katelyn loves her family and GRANDPARENTS. She is such a nice granddaughter and loves to help me and we all love her very much.
HAPPY BIRTHDAY KATELYN.
